I just posted it anon, thanks for submitting! :D
Just a note to all my followers.
It has been brought to my attention through an anonymous ask that there is a type of shop/store here on tumblr and facebook who is stealing designs from sites on cafe press. That is a big NO NO. Cafe Press sites are actually copyright protected, and it says so right on the bottom of the pages’ shop. I don’t know if any of you in particular remember Semper Sweet from Facebook, but this site has stolen a design of hers. I actually bought a ton of paracord bracelets from her she was still open and selling them (great work by the way!). This is the design that was stolen according to the anonymous user:
A buyer posted a picture of her wearing the sweatshirt with Semper Sweet’s design has since been taken down, clearly guilty of fraud/theft (I have the link for that as well). I strongly urge you ladies to be on the look out for little “shops” like these on facebook and tumblr. They jack their prices up ridiculously high with second hand designs, when you really could get ahold of a great shop on cafe press or zazzle (like Semper Sweet or CamoLove) and get a custom made design that is made specifically for you and you only, not for you to tweak and reuse to claim as your own. In a way, that’s a form of plagiarism if you think about it. That’s very offensive to designers. Granted I don’t really design, but I take time out of my day to make these “problems”. If someone was making a profit from my posts and putting them on tshirts or even making another blog with them, I would be very very upset. What this girl is doing upsets me. These designers behind these shops and graphics blogs have learned their talents on their own, they’re self taught as am I. It’s a gift, really and takes a lot of trial and error along with patience. It’s wonderful that they can put things on hold to make these designs to be put on shirts, hoodies, and other things.
Anyway, onto the shops I reccomend:
IHeartCamo (I have one of her designs showcased on my sidebar along with one from Semper Sweet, and she’s a total sweetheart!)
Sending care packages overseas? Here’s a little how-to-do so you won’t let customs forms intimidate you. Also, definitely ask the post office staff questions if you’re not sure. There’s about room for 4 items to list and so I usually list the basic things like books, beef jerky, baby wipes, and gum. Keep it simple and a tip given to me is to not list the expensive items, just to make sure that your care package isn’t tampered with.
THIS THIS THIS THIS!!! I do it different EVERY TIME I send out a package!!!
Anonymous said: So much drama. I followed this blog to let out stress and it seems like all you're doing is causing a ruckus.
Yep. It’s a total shit show, right? Only two posts about it and my blog is just full of it, when you’re the one trolling me starting it.
Anonymous said: Why are you asking people if their so is deployed or not? Thats breaking opsec.
First off, people whose partner is deployed often like to associate with those who are going through the same situation for support. Like a “battle buddy”, if that’s what you want to call it. It’s good to have someone you can talk to at the end of the day who knows exactly what you’re going through. It’s great social interaction and it’s healthy.
Also, can you point out to me how it’s an OPSEC violation? I’m not asking for where they are or making them post where they are operating out of from their location. It just simply states if they’re stateside or deployed. That is not even close to being an OPSEC violation. Don’t even think about pulling the OPSEC nazi card with me either. If this is a problem for you, don’t request to be on a list. If you do request, leave that part out. If you can’t do either of those, unfollow.
Oh, and I suggest you read up on OPSEC, and then get back to me.
